THATCamp looks like a great event. Will have to keep it on the radar for next year.

ArchivesGeekFest ended up being a great success. It's already scheduled to be part of next year's ACA conference and hopefully will become a permanent feature.

The PowerPoint Kareoke was certainly the highlight. I also enjoyed the opportunity to speak freely and frankly about Archives IT projects, what works, what doesn't, etc. with a group of like-minded peers. The conversation moved freely during and after presentations and jumped around from online finding aids to corporate ERDMS to computer installation art.

A lot of us just came off of THATCamp last weekend -- those folks may have some suggestions from recent experience on making this a success.
