<description>Hi Tim. If you&#039;re familiar with the Subversion tool then you can check out a copy from our code repository right now, See http://ica-atom.org/code.html

Otherwise if you wait about a month, we will have a version available for download from the project website which will include a web application installer (e.g. similar to how you would install a WordPress or Drupal instance).

In the meanwhile, you can browse the user manual to get an idea of what the application looks like and what functionality is available in beta 1.0.

As far as open-source software for archives is concerned you should have come to the ACA conference in Fredericton last week :-)

I co-presented a session on exactly that topic. We demonstrated ICA-AtoM, Archivist Toolkit and Greenstone. The presentation slides are available here: http://archivemati.ca/papers-presentations/

See also a recent thread on the ica-atom discussion list about open-source options for archivists: http://groups.ica.org/en/node/27</description>

<description>I only came across this project recently - I&#039;m really looking forward to seeing how it looks and works.

Can&#039;t wait to get my hands on it.

I&#039;ve worked with open source software in other areas, but not really archives (how much is out there for archives...?)
