Yes, I see. I think this is what one archivist/museum curator was trying to steer me toward. That is, integrating my direction and interest in personal archives & making these accessible (so, in part, creating digital archives), with what this particular institution is doing/has done to provide online access. This, as you indicate above, would enhance a community’s collective memory. You’re lightyears ahead in understanding what’s already available whereas I’m just beginning to see what organizations are currently using in terms of technology to provide access & for documenting.
